So, I will admit….as a Raleigh photographer I absolutely love outdoor newborn photography……I cannot help but put newborn babies in baskets outside during photo sessions!!!

I am in love with it! Every minute of it!  The colors, the textures….the change in seasons…they add so much beauty to the images of these sleeping little ones.  I love getting them all snuggled up, taking them on a mini adventure and seeing what magical little nooks we can find outside 🙂  It makes my heart so so happy!  So to encourage those of you thinking of scheduling a newborn photo session soon, lets add some outdoor newborn photography in the mix 🙂

 

Here are my top three reasons you should go ahead and get that little one outside!

 

 

Outdoor Newborn Photography is downright beautiful!

I don’t even know if I can put it into words…but all the colors and textures in combination with a sleepy little one…it’s just striking!  They look so peaceful and magical surrounded by mossy rocks and whispy blooming greens!  I love it!

 

Storytelling

Not only do all the outdoor elements look amazing in your newborn photos, but they also help to tell the story of when your little one came into this world!  We can capture all the beauty of the season in which they were born.  They say a picture has 1,000 words and these outdoor newborn photos certainly say 1,000 words about the story of your sweet baby.

 

 

They are 1 of a kind

 This is the biggest reason I love NOT having a studio!    Every newborn photo session is unique when it’s done on location.  I love poking around and finding beautiful little spots in my clients homes to photograph their little babies.  Outdoors included!!!  Every home is unique, and the outdoors are no exception 🙂  Everyone has something different….a cool wooden porch,  a pretty little vegetable garden, a sunflower field!!!! I’ve seen it all and even if you think you don’t have anything that cool….I’m pretty good at finding something unique and beautiful about your home and working them into your newborn photos.
