I absolutely love fell in love with this newborn sessions! When I first heard from the Conner family, they were expecting their first little boy, Cohen, and were looking to capture maternity photos through his whole first year. We agreed that they would do all their photo sessions in a Raleigh location, but Kelsey asked if I could travel to their home for the newborn session, approximately 2 hours away! It was a bit of a hike, but as I don’t shoot in a studio, as I prefer in home newborn sessions, I happily agreed.  Little did I know, this newborn session would be one of my favorites of all time!

Kelsey & Eric are originally from Charlotte, but are living up on Lake Gaston for a few years while Eric is working on a project. They decided to purchase a home while they were living there, and it was the perfect backdrop for their newborn session. I absolutely loved the nautical vibe that the lake house gave to the photo session.  Despite being a rainy spring day, Kelsey & Eric were up for some outdoor newborn photos. So, we ventured down to the dock prepared with rain boots, blankets & umbrellas to keep baby Cohen warm & sleepy while getting some one of a kind newborn photos!  Check back to see more of Baby Cohen through his milestone sessions!
