Spring is the perfect time for a JC Raulston Arboretum wedding.  Kay & Seth were married at a small & serene garden wedding. The sun was out, the birds were chirping, the flowers were blooming, and there was a lovely breeze that caught gusts of wind in Kay’s elegant wedding dress, only further adding to the romance of the day.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day for a Raleigh spring wedding.

After a calm & lovely wedding morning of bridal preparation at their home.  Kay traveled to the JC Raulston Arboretum to put on her amazing vintage inspired wedding dress and meet Seth for their first look.

If you are considering a first look for your wedding day…do it!  It is such a magical time to share with the groom 🙂

After the first look, it was wedding time and they headed up to the Finley-Nottingham Rose Garden to say their wedding vows.  If you’re considering a JC Raulston Arboretum wedding, the rose garden is an amazing site to say your “I do’s”!!!

They were surrounded by only their very closest family & friends.  Small weddings are the sweetest, because its all about marrying the love of your life.

After their sweet & simple wedding ceremony & family photos, the group traveled downtown Raleigh to Mulino, to have a mediterranean feast.  Cocktails were served poolside on the rustic patio, along with elegant appetizers, which included caprese kabobs (my favorite!)!  Next, everyone headed indoors to their private event space for dinner….and how gorgeous was it inside!!!  Everywhere you looked there was stunning decor, filled with dramatic colors & mediterranean inspired patterns.  It truly felt like you were in old Italy with the stucco walls and dripping candle wax.

After much wine, lamb tagine, laughs & wedding cake, the newlyweds were sent on their way to Hatteras via sparkler exit!   Perfect way to end a perfect day!
