I think it is so important to actually create a printed product to encapsulate one of the most romantic days of our lives! We put so much time, effort, money and even…ahem….tears into making our wedding day picture perfect, and then the images are left somewhere in a drawer to collect dust on a USB for a someday project! Or worse yet…simply uploaded into the digital atmosphere, at the mercy of Facebook to not close their site one day….with no tangible product left in hand. So, that is why I decided to include a simple album with every one of my wedding packages, to give you something “to have and to hold,” and tell your love story

1.

Technology Can Fail
First and foremost, with only digital files from your wedding, you are responsible for transferring the images from one type of digital media to another as technology advances every few years. Every time a file is transferred, there’s a risk of file corruption. Not only that, but if life gets crazy and you fail to transfer it to the new media, you may end up with a beautiful disc/flash drive/etc of photos that you can’t see anymore because there’s no machine around to use the disc/flash drive/etc with. This is why we believe that a professional wedding album is so important. Even if you store it in a closet, you’ll still have images to look at and enjoy years from now. 2.

Its too Personal
As an avid DIY’er, I have learned to make peace with the fact that just because I can make something, doesn’t mean I should….or will…or have time to….:/ And the same rings true with your wedding album.

I often give my brides about 1000 images from a typical wedding day, maybe more! The day is full of moments! Moments, moments everywhere. Every image probably holds some small type of sentimental value to you, and narrowing it down to the 150 images you want in your album can be….totally overwhelming & time consuming. Not to mention the design element….What pictures go together? How many go on a page? How many pages should I make it? Should I use this one or this one? How do I tell a story? And the list goes on….again…..overwhelming!

All that being said, “Can’t I design my own wedding album?” is not as easy as it seems. And while, yes, you can…all the factors I mentioned above can really slow the whole process down and there’s a good chance that your “wedding album” may be left unfinished somewhere in cyberspace…never for a printed version to see the light of day.

So, I love helping my brides defeat the overwhelm, and get a gorgeous book into their hands, by designing one for you. I create a Pre-Design for you, giving us a starting place. I choose the initial round of images that I feel tell your story as beautifully as the day it happened. I pay close attention to aesthetics, making sure I choose the perfect layout to emphasize your images, while maximizing the space. And then we work together to swap out images, add or subtract pages, adjust size and really customize the album to make it something you will cherish for a lifetime!!!

Create an Heirloom for Your Grandchildren to Find
If you’re anything like me, you love a good love story, especially a true one! As a kid, I loved (and still do) looking through old family albums (especially weddings!) and reliving the past, looking at the clothing, the hairstyle, learning about what my family was like before I was born and where I came from, and wondering what it would have been like to be there! It’s part of our ancestory! And having a good wedding album is just that! Not only will you cherish your album for a lifetime, but the albums I provide for my brides will last for future generations to find and treasure 🙂 They are printed on actual photographic paper, meaning they are archival and meant to last a hundred years! And they are professional grade , unlike anything you will find from Shutterfly or online photo sites, these albums are meant to withstand time.

So let’s get your love story on paper…because prints, are forever!

just a few ideas….
